At today's mass, we celebrated the Rite of Election or Enrolment of 9 candidates; 2 from the English and 2 from the Malay-speaking RCIA class. Some were seeking Baptism, while the others were preparing for Confirmation. This was the first time, these rites were being celebrated. As the names of the Catechumens were called, each candidate came forward to sign their names in the Book of the Elect. For the next 3 weeks until Holy Week they will prepare intensively to receive their sacraments of Initiation, Parishioners are requested to pray for the candidates.
