This evening, at the 8.00 pm Mission Sunday Mass, The Bishop of Penang, Rt. Rev. Sebastian Francis launched Mission Sunday, by sending forth all Catholic Members of the Diocese. The Special Liturgy included pledging the Commitment to Mission, blessing with Holy Oil and receiving a special letter from the Bishop which was distributed to all baptised parishioners who had received Holy Communion. The letter entitled Missionary Command of Jesus with the words 'Go, Live and Share the Gospel of Joy of Jesus Christ' is a covenant between Jesus and the receiver as a disciple of the Lord.
