Christmas Celebrations in KB

Christmas Carolling by the Youth/KCYS carollers, Christmas Crib and decorations, and finally the night of the Christmas Vigil - these was how Christmas in Kota Bharu was celebrated.

Christmas Carolling by the Youth

Carolling began early from Sunday 20th December 2015 - with visits beginning with kem Desa Pahlawan, followed by homes of parishioners on the following days until Dec 23rd.

Christmas Decorations & Christmas Crib

Meanwhile, the decorations at the front of the Fatima Chapel and the Christmas crib was beautifully set up at the front of the church.

Christmas Vigil began at 8.00 pm with mass being celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Murphy Pakiam. Beautiful carols were sung throughout the mass, which also saw the baptism and confirmation of Emily Ong, eldest daughter of  Mr. Joshua Ong and Jenny Teo.
After the mass which ended at 9.30pm, there was fellowship with pot luck. Visitors and parishioners mingled joyfully as members of families came back for a reunion with their parents and siblings.

Christmas Day

On Friday, Christmas Day itself, there was confirmation of 2 Indonesians from the Island of Flores who were migrant workers here.
The joyous celebration will culminate in our Parish Family Christmas Party to be held on New Years' Day, 1st January 2016.

"For unto us, a child is born...... and his name shall be called wonderful, conusellor, the Mighty God!"
(Isaiah 9:6)
