Fatima Parish Fancy Dress Christmas Party

The tallest Free-standing Christmas Tree in Kota Bharu
Friday, 20th December 2013, Kota Bharu

Fatima Hall, gaily decorated with balloons and coloured decorations and the tallest free-standing Christmas Tree (which took 3 days to make) in the middle was filled with fancily dressed party goers, young and old.
The Party went into full swing, as our two Emcees, Francis Lai and SarahTay gathered the people together, entertaining the audience with their quizes and comments. The Party began with an opening prayer by Fr. Robert Daniel, followed by Christmas Carolling by the Fatima Carollers. It was upbeat all the way, with carols sung in Tamil and Mandarin. Santa Claus and Santarina gatecrashed the party half-way with gifts and sweets for the young.
After the intermission when participants had had their lunch, there was an inspiring  Nativity play by the youth. Young dancers showed their talents in traditional East Malaysian style as well as the latest K-Pop dances in popular Gangnam-Style. The highlight of the party was the Fancy-dress competition, with participants coming up with various creative styles of their choice. There were green elves, fairies, and even a Lego set, what imagination! The adult group showed off their talents in dance and song, and I think everybody present was impressed with the two FMM Sisters who gamely dressed up to steal the show!
All in all, it was a very creative and imaginative party thanks to the organizing team and all parishioners who not only sign up but also participated to make this year's Christmas Party a roaring success!
