Today, the whole parish enjoyed an annual outdoor event at PCB Resort - at Pantai Cahaya Bulan (or more famous as Beach of Passionate Love, Pantai Cinta Berahi. This resort is about 6 miles out from Kota Bharu. The beach is no longer beautiful as it used to be 30 years ago, as the sea have eaten a large part of the former beach. Now a man-made embankment of rocks mar the beauty of the place. In any case, there are some private stretches of beach such as the PCB Resort which still looks beautiful.
Fatima KB Parish's unique tradition is its annual parish outing which started many years ago. Young and old alike enjoy a day by the beach or beside a river or a waterfall. We have been to Semerak, Bukit Keluang, Bachok beaches as well as waterfalls such as Jeram Linang, Jeram Pasu, Bukit Bakar, and as far as Jertih. The famous Pulau Perhentian is a favourite for small groups from the parish.
Today, the venue is nearer home at PCB. The day started with Friday Mass celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Murphy Pakiam in one of the halls, Dewan Mutiara of the resort followed by free time at the pool and games at the beach for the young people.
Thank you to the organisers of this memorable day.
